Privacy Notice
Effective September 12, 2026
This notice explains what Ore House at the Pine Grove ("we", "us") collects when you use orehouse.com, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We are a single restaurant in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We don't sell your information, and we don't run advertising or ad tracking on this site.
What we collect and why

We ask for only what each task needs. Required fields are marked; everything else is optional. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and this site is not directed to them.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that make the site work, and only for the purpose above:
- Cloudflare — hosts the site, runs the Turnstile bot check on our forms, and sets one security cookie (see Cookies). Cloudflare may also produce aggregate visitor statistics without cookies or fingerprinting.
- Resend — delivers form submissions to our mailbox as email.
- Stripe — processes gift-card payments on its own secure checkout page. Your card details go directly to Stripe; they never touch our servers. Stripe's use of your data is governed by its privacy policy.
- OpenTable — provides the reservation form (loaded only when you open it) under its privacy policy.
- Google Maps — the map on the Contact page loads only when you choose "Show Map"; from then on Google's privacy policy applies to that map.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies and similar technologies
We set no advertising or analytics cookies. What you may encounter:
cf_clearance(Cloudflare, up to 1 year) — a security cookie that remembers your browser passed Cloudflare's automated-traffic check. Strictly necessary.- Turnstile (Cloudflare) — the bot check on our forms keeps a small amount of state in your browser while it runs. Strictly necessary for the forms.
- OpenTable — once you open the reservation form, OpenTable sets its own cookies inside that frame.
- Google Maps — if you load the map, Google may set cookies inside the map frame.
Because we use only strictly-necessary cookies of our own, we don't show a cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them, though the forms' bot check may not.
How long we keep it
- Messages and event inquiries arrive in our restaurant mailbox. We keep them as long as we need to handle the request and for a reasonable period afterward — typically no more than a year — then delete them.
- Gift-card orders are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require (generally seven years). Stripe retains its own transaction records under its policies.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, hosted on Cloudflare, and uses bot protection on all forms. Payments are handled entirely on Stripe's PCI-compliant checkout. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to a small business to protect the information we hold, and we require the same of the providers above.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask a question about this notice by emailing info@orehouse.com or calling (970) 879-1190. We'll respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights.
We don't send marketing email or text messages. If we ever start, we'll ask for your permission first and every message will include a way to opt out.
Do Not Track. We don't track visitors across other sites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off; we treat all visitors the same.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be called out on this page.
